Hey fellow FPS'ers I have to say that if you would like a break from BF2, pick up a copy of ARMED ASSAULT and the german to english patch. IT retails for 43 euro or roughly 53 dollars US. I am not sad to say that I think my bf2 days are over. This is BF2, LOMAC, Operation Flashpoint, and JO, all mixed together. ITS Sweet and its a fast growing community! Well hope you guys try it and dont just flame me. LAters, Jump

Well before you ritualistically dance naked around a bonfire and toss your BF2 DVD into it you should maybe hold on a bit and see where ArmA goes.

Though some of the posters lack the ability to convey their message, it is VERY buggy, BF2 was literally bug free compared to that.
Also bear in mind that the game features quite different style of gameplay and is aimed at more realism than BF2 (no huds, no floating tags, no hit indicators). While this will be candy for some, it won't be what others are looking for.
I've now played if for a while, or at least tried. I'm willing to give the game the benefit of the doubt since the English language patch was far from perfect, with a lot of text in German. I know it has been done by enthusiasts, so I have no hard feelings towards them because without that I wouldn't have achieved even this much.
And they really SHOULD have a DEMO version of the game.Comment

I'll wait for english by what point most bugs will be sorted. I'm in no hurry I'd rather play it and it can be as good as it can be rather than rush it and be dissapointed.Comment
