POE2 has great servers where they have team play. Some of the servers will kick you if your not in a squad

Yeah, not many team-players out there unless you're playing on a Clan server. But sometimes you run into the most pathetically selfish and dishonorable clans, it's really just THAT much harder to find a teamplayer out there.

squad leading is lame cuz u dont get extra points for it (i dont really care) and no one listens to you

its all true... if EA had a reason promoting the excellent effort and contribution of squad leaders, we would have squad leader point system based on how the squad managed in total. It would be a simple off spin of the commander point system. Also, we would have squad leader badges and things.

If that's your squad experience the you've missed a lot... There must be some reason people aren't following you. I play with guys all the time who regularly squad up with me when I'm on the server. If guys know you're going to get them flag captures and kills, then they stick with you and usually learn/get what the shared responsibilities are. Those that just join my squad to spawn in a particular place once don't last very long in the squad. Squad managment is more than just hiding where nobody will see you...

Squadleaders get screwed? Im sure screwed when I have a few medic's, and a commander, that are making you a priority over most of the other players.

I get people to squad up and play as a team ALL the time especially when i do the whole squad leader in the transport chopper thing, when my squad member see a spawn point at an enemy base they say SWEET NO LONG AS HECK WALK BACK TO THE FRONT LINE.

by the way i put 6 guys in the chopper and flew over the american held hill at 500 alt everyone was liek WHEN ARE WE GONNA JUMP i said wait...bail now!

i we all opened our chutes while we where still high off the ground then the most messed up thing happend....i looked won and there was an enemy artilery strike on progress...

apparently the enemy commander scanned and saw 6 guys in one spot but he didnt know that we where in the air parachuting, on his screen it looked like 6 guys on the ground, i laughed my head off.

but anyway i have fun commanding squads that listen but since i want more points and badges and ranks n stuff, it feels like theres no reward kinda like raising a kid who gets straight As and goes to MIT but then decides to marry some country girl and settle down into a trailer next to larry the cable guy.

In theory, you should never, ever base any objective in game on points, but the pshychological setup of the game and stimuly to win.

But since BF2 is populated by mindless pointwhoring lemmings, point based objective encouragement system is the true way to go.

I don't like being squad leader because I don't like having squad members in my hands, but I'll sometimes do it

                          Some good points.

I personally have spent a little over 250 hours, out of a total play time of 420-something hours, as squad leader and have never had issues with how I get points.

I think, that's "think" and not for certain, that playing as SL does earn you more 'team points' than normal, not sure what they're called but the icon shows as a medic symbol and a spanner on the end game stats, and that is good enough for me.

                          Scort.

People who don't like squad-leading tend to be point-whores :P

The benefits for leading a squad are obvious:

                              - You tend to have backup more often, due to more people playing as Medics, and Supports using you as a spawn point.

                              - You can ask the Commander for supply drops, artillery drops, vehicle drops, UAV, and even speak to the Commander directly through Commander VOIP.

                              - You can not be switched to the other team by Teambalance.

But there i nothing more pleasing after you have commanded your squad (who listen to you ), throughout an awesome round

I hear you. That's why you have to find a good hiding spot from all enemy fire, then command. I hate that, I have to leave my squad and my fun to go press the mouse three time then walk back for five minutes to continue the rebellion against U.S. Marine Core!

                                MEC FOR EVER!

This brings me to a story. I was playing Strike at karkland. My squad was a full 6/6, so, I decide to take the northeastern bases first. So, We "sneak" if you will to them. Well, we had a hell of an surprise. Two men died, I and my squad continued to get across the river. Finally, at a base, we capture it. Well, I knew that is wasn't going to be long until MEC forces were trying to get here. So, I needed a vehicle drop from the commander, .. He KNEW I was in a horrible position. Especially when he put an UAV at our base. Around, 16 was heading our way. I asked for the vehicle drop. "Negative." I'm like dude, wtf!? Me and my team is about to get PWN3D! 3 second later, I ask again, same thing. My squad, we held out for about four people, then I got hit by a sniper, then my team slowly was destroyed.

My point of this story is, You can't depend on the noobish commander for everything. Sometimes it's only you and your squad, sometimes it's only you and that ugly osama bin laden.
