Booster pack collection

Bought the collection of Armoured Fury and Euro Force today on DVD, installed, all seemed to go well, but I don't see any servers with new maps....

Did I screw something up, or is there something else I need to do or switch on?

Or is it just that no one plays these maps...

No one plays EF, very few people play AF. Seems like you wasted your money if you wanted to go online with them. Shoulda joined in a few months ago.

lol bummer you fed into EA's marketing scam to get more people to buy those games.they figured if tehy actually released a physical version you would think people still played them lol.....no matter i still want them

Whether or not the servers are populated is one thing, but still I see servers every day that are using those maps. Be they empty or bad ping for me. Make sure after you installed teh maps that you updated to 1.41 again. Make sure your filters are not set with too many requirements.

if EA actually released the pack globally it might help swell the numbers

As it is, even looking today several weeks after launch, I dont see it available anywhere in the Eurozone, its not listed on any of the big 6 nor is it in gamestracker (game price engine) and neither of the companies that ive emailed about it has any idea about its release.

This probably applies to the rest of the world outside the US (yes there is one) and EU so I wouldnt hold my breath for a swell in player numbers anytime soon.


EA, one of the premier global games marketing company seems to have forgotten how to drive demand or release s/w effectively - surely a proper release is in their interest (financially) just as much as ours.

Perhaps when you installed EF & AF, it screwed up your game and you are not seeing other servers simply because you are not on 1.41. I would reapply the 1.41 patch to make sure. I still play AF on occasion, and there are at least 5-8 servers online daily.

That link you have there is to an american store and neither ebgames.nl or ebgames.co.uk exists.

To OP:

Make sure you set your internet filters to look for medium sized maps since there are no large Euro Forces maps (don't worry u can still play them with 64 people on them). Personally I don't own Armored Fury, but in Europe there aren't so many Euro Forces maps anymore, depends on the time you looking too. On the weekends you might find a few good owns.

Edit: like vesuvan said, make sure you update on 1.41 after you installed EF&AF

Yes, it's slim picking, but they ARE out there. I'm becoming a big fan of both EF/AF. Don't give up on them, they are very fun!
