once you take a flag do you let every1 die and spawn on you before you attempt another base? or do you go low and pick your squad up?

I go low and pick up my squad and sometimes when my squad isnt full ill look on the map and land in the highest concentration of our troops i can find, they swarm in all the time.

My problem was that a chopper is very defenceless when low with noone repairing and would consistently die from transport cars without repairs.

I like assigning a squad member to repair and even if i dont i have some CRAZY mesed up moves to avoid vehicle fire and anti air you just learn i guess.

by the way when ever i find a s leader that is willing to fly the chopper, i love being the guy that gets inserted in2 enemy flags you feel like a spec ops paratrooper

Yeah well I use my leet pilot skills to run amok around enemy infantry and flags. Too bad you don't get all the points you deserve.

ive seen many people do this, ive done it myself at times. I didnt know it was against the roe.

So it's ok to drive around and capture flags without engaging the enemy, but not to fly around and do it? I have to call BS on this little ROE bit.

Who cares about the ROE (when it's on ridiculous things like this, anyway). I ferried my team capping every flag except for Airfield on Wake today with a similiar tactic.

That is the most stupid thing I have heard in a while. Is every tactic that requires a little nous to come up with against the ROE? Is the idea to make the game as boring as possible?

I joined a new server last week (playing wake), and first spawn I jumped in a BH alone (no one else on the carrier). There were no flags taken yet, so I decided to cap the southern base flag for future friendly spawns.

After taking it with a hover, I began to fly towards the airfeild to blow the commander's toys and work on taking that flag to deprive the enemy of air and chopper re-spawn/supply (pretty standard tactic). Suddenly I get TV'd from my own team's cobra who's gunner's nametag indicated he was a member of the local clan. Then I see "DON'T STAT PAD!" on the in-game chat.

Needless to say I buggered off from that server, because if that is considered stat padding, I sure as hell don't want to be there. If you want to play infantry only combat, buy Ghost Recon or some other vanilla FPS.

The vehicles are in the game for a reason.

It's not against BFROE. The explanation states that your squad will engae the enemy. It's only flag hopping if you say, go to an empty flag and cap and leave, and just keep capping empty flags. Says nothing about a SL hovering above a flag so his squad can spawn. Obviously if their spawning, they're dying, if they're dying, they're engaging the enemy. Not at all against BFROE. Common sense tactic, but not widely used.
