game says i have an "old version" even after installing 1.41

i got the new patch and installed it. however, when i tried to access a server through IP with some friends, the game said i "have an older version than the server"

any ideas, because i only get around 50 servers from the internet to play.

Well this is very odd, because if you have downloaded 1.41 FULL and installed it, you shouldnt have a problem.

i d/l 1.41 FULL from EA. all ~530 MB of it. i installed it and that's the message i got. i dont understand what the deal is.

hey, your not alone with it, I bought bf2, deluxe edition today, and downloaded the 530mb file off of fileplanet, and im haveing the same problem. the install looks as if it go's well and everything, but then when i go into the game the patch didnt get applied. ???? weird.

I have a simila rproblem.

The progress bar wont fill up but if i try to restore windows there are points where it says bf2 patch 1.41 applied.

Obviously my BF2 isnt patched.

I CANT PLAY, DICE FIX THIS!!

Hey i had that problem. But i had to patch the game first 1.01 and the 1.41 :)... But my game dosent work .. hehe

Purge the patch from your EA Link and redownload it. Chances are you have a corrupted download. Also make sure you turn off all virus software while doing the install.
