BF2 does not start up!

    BF2 does not start up!

    Whenever i try to play BF2, the splashscreen comes up and then nothing happens yet BF2 is still in the processes menu in task manager. How can i play BF2?

    EDIT SOLUTION:

    I deleted the profiles folder in "My Documents and Settings/ Battlefield 2"

      just do a system restore if you want the folders/files back.

          i dont think system restore will give back deleted files...all i think it does mainly is restore the older registry

              Sorry, i don't think i made it clear.

              I fixed the problem by deleting the profiles folder and now it all works fine...
