Just talking about regular rifles.... Does zoom'ing give the weapon greater accuracy by reducing deviation if you are in same prone position? According to the weapon charts, recoil seems to be greater when the weapon is zoomed. Wouldn't it mean that it may be better to shoot without zooming to reduce the recoil and that will lead to greater accuracy in consecutive shots? Given the reasonable distance between you and the enemy.

f the numbers and weapons charts....do some expirements and use whatever technique/s work best for you.
i prefer non-zoom for close range combat and in-zoom for med/long shots -

It's all too inconsistent to say anything about the BFS2 weapons. Just point at your target and roll the dice.Comment

Mmm... have you ever noticed that shooting at a wall leaves bullet-holes? That's a great way to test the recoil/deviation and accuracy of the weapons; judging from how far from the centre each bullet-hole is away from the initial bullet you fired.
And thus how I learned that the P90 rocks as a close/medium range weapon- coz it deviates so little, spraying is back in fashion.Comment

Ironsights don't increase accuracy, they just help pinpoint your aim. Fire in single shot at any distance, I say, more than 20 feet.Comment

I disagree, I usually shoot with single fire-mode at mid-high range, if the weapons is totally unaccurate (G3, for instance) I switch in mid range.Originally posted by Touch my ballsIronsights don't increase accuracy, they just help pinpoint your aim. But 20 feet is to short, auto fire can be maximized if handled properly. Just don't get crazy with holding the LMB

It's called personal preference, and situationally dependant. In closer quarters sometimes it's better to conserve ammo, nothing ends a good run faster than locking the bolt back on an empty chamber with enemy still breathing.Originally posted by GbeTechI disagree, I usually shoot with single fire-mode at mid-high range, if the weapons is totally unaccurate (G3, for instance) I switch in mid range.
