BF2 audio settings weird problem

My friend has this strange problem with his Voip options

In the audio settings menu, the Voip section, he checks the Enabled button to use the Voip. Then he exits the menu to join a game. But when he returns the to Voip options, the Enabled button has unchecked by itself.


He cant enabled this Voip because it keeps disable by itself.

any ideas ?

the only step that you didnt mention that could be a factor: make sure the dude clicks the "apply settings" button @ the bottom right hand side of the screen.

if he is clicking the voip button and immediately exiting back to the game it would not register

does he hit apply at the bottome of the screen becuase that got me ticked off to once when I wanted to turn my sound off so if you do that it should work but if not then I am not sure.

i did! the weird thing is:
when i click on option and select audio and set all stuff to be able to use the Voip, i hit apply, than i click on Video option and swich back to Audio, the Voip option is off again.
So bf is like changing it automaticly

Verify he has the updated drivers to whatever sound card (or motherboard) he is using. Make sure about the apply button. The error you are describing sounds incredibly like what the suggestions here would fix. Is your friend running any other sound programs like Ventrilo or Teamspeak?

btw, im the friend that the voip option isnt running.

Nope, i wasnt running Vent or TS.
im prety sure my driver is updated, but iwill still check.
