Well, I got 2142. I've had no punkbuster kicks with it. When I got it, I uninstalled BF2. Recently, I got a sudden urge to play BF2 again, so I reinstalled it and the patch. Now I'm getting punkbuster kicks. It keeps saying "This PB server requires (A1373 C1.276) - Error loading pbag. I have no idea how to correct this, and really need help.

Hi Guys,
Kept having a real problem last night on BF2 and worked out how to solve it. I thought I'd share it with you in case you ever need it.
The problem occurs on certain servers (including EA's own) where you need Punkbuster enabled. You play for about a minute or two and you are kicked from the game with a message (something to the effect of)
You have been kicked via PunkBuster (for 0 minutes)... This PB Server Requires (A1360 C1.199) - error loading pbag
If you are getting this error, first of all, make a note of the versions (Axxxx and Cxxxx) mentioned. Then quit BF2.
There are two files which PunkBuster uses; an "A" and a "C" file. The versions required are the ones displayed. Go to the installation folder of Battlefield 2. I think by default it's "c:\program files\battlefield 2\" (mine's not default so I couldn't be 100% sure.) Within that folder, there's a folder called "pb". Go in there. Now enter the "htm" folder.
There will be a few files listed. If you look at the names you will see the version numbers of the files are a bit familiar from the error message within BF2.
Referring to your notes of the error shown in BF2, check for existance of the numbers in the file names. In my case, it was 1360 and 1199. I had xxx1199.htm and xxxx1361.htm - but not xxxx1360.htm. It appears PB needs all the older files too.
Go to http://www.evenbalance.com and select Battlefield 2 from the game list. Click the "Software Updates: Download" link. Now, on that page there are 6 files under "Client files". Look for the links to the Windows (or whatever your OS is) file which is closest to the one you want. In my case, I needed xxxx1360 so I chose the link to xxxx1361.
The instructions on that page tell you to right-click and save as. Ignore this. Click on the link and let the page load. Go to the address bar and change the address to the code number you need. Therefore, I changed http://....../1361.htm to 1360.htm. Once it has fully loaded, go to File, then "Save As...". Save this into the battlefield 2/pb/htm folder.
This should now solve the problem because it worked for me. Sorry if it hasn't!"
