Hey, thinking of getting a BenQ FP202W soon but don't have enough cash to get a LCD + a video card. How well will BF2 run at native 1650x1050?

    Specs:
    AMD 64+ 3200 @ 3800
    1.5GB DDR400 Kingston
    256MB Gigabyte 6800GS @ 485/1100 (stock:420/1000)
    MSI K8N NEO 4F
    200GB IDE Seagate

Everything will run just fine as long as both your LCD and Video card supports it, and the game.

You can force it via the command line thingy. My main concern is what FPS I will be getting, any ideas?

Well I get around 50fps average on highest settings and I have almost the same setup as you.

                Re: 1650x1050 + 6800gs

the resolution isnt that insanely high, and itll prob look stretched

btw how did u get bf2 to run that well heatseeker?
even with terrain, shadows, dynamic lighting, and texture on medium i get average 30fps in karkand 64 players

                  Re: 1650x1050 + 6800gs

Yeah I think heatseeker is telling lies. I don't even get 50+ FPS at 1024x768. Until he provides screenshots with the FPS counter in the corner I'm going to take it with a grain of salt.

Could you try a 32 or 64 player Karkand/Sharqi/Mash server and check the frame rate? Do games look 'rough' (Jagedy <-- not even a word) at 1650x1050? Do they really need 4xAA?
