Gulf of Oman it's probably the best balanced map in the game you have jets which are pretty evenly matched you have choppers bit of an advantage to US you have loads of aa emplacements to take on said air vehicles you then have apc's tanks jeeps and plenty of open spaces and places for cqb near the flags for the ground pounders whats not to love

I played it a few times.. not a bad map..
I tend to not like the maps with planes and heli's .... or the servers with them anyhow.

yeah that is a good map also .. I don't know how to fly a plane yet, but I have the joystick, and will be practicing for the fun of it in single player. lol.. Definetly a map with a lot of killing opps.

Its good I just can never find it without I/O only which is no fun, I needs a tank.

Going back to the Oman balance issue, there is one major problem with that, the MEC has a bomber, and the US doesent, which can make a HUGE impact in it. I can shoot down F35s with the bomber more often than they shoot me down while I am in the bomber...and thats not even mentioning the MIG-29...of course it all depends on the pilots.

Well karaknd is a good starter map but when you get into flying goto wake or a air map you have fun there if you get the chopper/jet and own.

going back to the oman balance issue if you are routintely shooting down f35's with the bomber well then either you are very good or the f35 pilots are really bad the balance there is that the su34 makes up on the ground ie bombing runs what it lacks in the air and the f35 and mig are pretty evenly matched

Well, in a perfect world, they would be. The MIG isnt as slippery as the J-10 when it comes to missles, but its a lot tougher to down then the F35. I like flying the F35, it is fun to fly, and can be great and deadly in the right hands, but it is not an even match. If the pilots have the same amount of skill in the respective aircraft, the MIG will nearly always win.

I think we will have to agree to disagree on that one but if you do feel that they are imbalanced in the air the f35 would in my opinion anyway be a superior bomber than the mig and so the balance is returned :)

You are absolutely right there, bombing is much much easier in the F35, and I also like it more for fancy flying and whatnot, but I would still take a MIG over it in the air :)

KARKAND for me at the moment. I've been involved in some proper banging fire fights by the bridge. USMC have all the flags on the West side and the MEC have all the flags on the right. FIRE WHEN READY..............:evil: :evil:

Shooting down F35B in a bomber may be even easier than vice versa. So jet balance shifts towards MEC side a little, but not too much. MiG makes minced meat out of F35Bs. I find the 1 bomber + 1 fighter against 2 sucky fighters an odd combination. This requires F35B pilots to fly as a team, in which case the chances for USMC to gain aerial superiority rises significantly.
