PCI Express advice desperately needed!!!

I am upgrading my mobo in order to get rid of the Creative/Asus static crash problem ive read so much about...and suffer from. I currently have an Asus A8V and GeForce 6800 (AGP). I have already purchased the new mobo (BFG nForce4) but need some help selecting a PCI Express card that will run with what my system can handle. I am thinking of just going for the BFG GeForce 7950 GT OC. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help!

I suggest the 7900gt, or gs. Both very good for their money. Or if you need to save, the 7600gt.

Thanks guys. Ive been doing some research and it seams that the 7950 really doesnt take advantage of the 512 megs as efficiently as the 7900 gt manages the 256 megs.
