Patching Doesnt Even Start

When i clik on the patch 1.41 exe it goes through the instakll shield wizard and when the install bar appears the window magically dissapears and nothing else happens

Ive downloaded the patch two times and it wont work no matter what.

download it from a different resource. Make sure you are not running virus software that is blocking the update. Make sure you have not renamed the BF2.exe to anything else.

Thats all checked, nothing happens.

Starts the little progress bar , fills up one space and hen dissapears.

Tried a reinstall, even changed some components like hd, cpu, motherboard and ram and the same thing happens again.

Its been 4 months and im still not able to play BF2.

Yep, it always occur the same.

The patch starts... the progress bar gets filled only with a bar and then it dissapears and nothing happens.

My system is:

Amd 64 3500+ winchester Asus a8v rev 2.0 2 gig ram audigy 2 zs.

Geforce 7800 GS 512 MB AGP.

Can that google hypercam 2 thingy give some info on this??

BUT there is no error........ I think he is missing that point? Either that or he can tell what is wrong by the time frame it disapears at :p

try downloading it again.
Idk, reinstall bf2 and then try it again? i don't know what to tell you man, and EA is crap when it comes to customer support, sorry.

JUst wanted to say i solved the problem.

It was caused by a virus called win32.parite or something like that.

I had it in the old hdd and infected the new one cause the ****ing virus traveled in a cd with backup programs.
