uplink is good, played the demo, its really good, gonna buy it asap

Yeah, it's awesome game, but it's bit short in the storymode...

About to cap some fool in the face.


Fool tried to pull a low one and nade me. Too bad for him I was faster and cap`d the fool in the abdomen, causing him to crumple down and growl in pain after what he got blown up by his own nade.


Some fool *** dogs attacking us. Obviously they got owned in the face by me. 2 of those *****-*** Dutyers died.


After 5 minutes of shooting and lobbing grenades at each other, I found this communist fool laying down in his own blood, like the dog he is.

I was defending, obviously noone got to our flag.
Forgot to bind scrshot, so all the pics were taken while I wasn`t busy OWNING the enemy scum.

L3adCannon you oversaid the word "Fool" lol u made me giggle i kinda read it in a Mr.T kinda wa "I pitty that fool" aahahahah. So are ypu playing online, Stalker doesent look bad at all i think i may buy it!

Tomeis, my brother and i play UT3 but not a lot as were usually playing CoH, BF2 Mods, CoD4, and source games. I prefer UT04 that was awes!!! although UT3 owns in gfx!

i love the game, but i keep getting caught, so this is the fourth time ive restarted the game in 36 hours, i just keep forgetting to clear the logs on some of the ones i hack and use to bounce off:cry:

Happened to me too when i started the game..

It's called 'passive trace'. Meaning if the target console has started the trace, that is called 'active trace'. After you disconnect, you leave those logs behind. Backtracing these is called 'Passive Trace'...

You are clearing the logs from other places too and the right ones? It doesn't help if you only clear the log from the target machine. You have to clear the logs from other places too. This is where InterNIC comes to play. Always use it as your first bounce(ie the one u connect first). It always has the same password for Admin and they never trace you, so it's easy and fast to get in and clear the logs.

This is from the guide:

Every time you connect to a server, you create logs. Using these logs, a Company/Hacker can do a 'Passive Trace' on you, by following the logs back through your bounce route and to your machine.
To prevent this, you need to clear your logs. The safest way to do this is to delete your logs from your first bounce point. Because InterNIC's password never changes, and they do not trace you, it is the best server to use for your first bounce point, as you can easily access the server's logs and delete them.
When you go to delete your logs, you must make sure you delete the right ones. The main logs you need to delete are the 'Bounce' logs, and the 'Password Accepted' logs, which look like the following;
'Connection from 127.0.0.1 routed to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' (Bounce Log)
'From 127.0.0.1: Password authentication accepted' (Password Accepted Log)
These are the logs you need to delete. It is important that you leave the actual connection logs there though, because you also leave logs when you disconnect, and it would look suspicious if there was a disconnection log but no connection.
By deleting these logs from your first bounce point after every hack, you should never be caught, as long as you aren't too slow in doing it.
Remember, everywhere keeps logs, including Voice Phone Systems. Just because you can't get to the logs, it doesn't mean they aren't there.

And have plenty of the bounces if you feel unsure...

Banks etc are good places to bounce from before you bounce to the actual target machine, because they are banks, they really don't easily let you in to look at the logs..

Get Trace Tracker, and keep it on all the time. Buy the latest version, it'll show the current trace being competed in seconds(ie 120 seconds).

Next upgrade is Hud Connection Analysis, and either Proxy, Monitor or Firewall bypasser(either proxy or monitor bypass is a good starter). You need all of them be lvl 5 later.

Backup your save either before or after big job(what ever you prefer). It's in the 'users' folder in the Uplink istallion folder. Best thing to do, is copy the whole folder...

yeah I try to have a balance between ut3, cod4 and BF2. I don't know what the earlier UT games are like because I've never played them before!

maybe we can duel some time :p
