infantry award......just a thought

hey you get awards for everything else, they keep track of exact usage of everything, how about an award or ribbon for ground pounding, sorta based on the vehicle stats, or atleast a stat that shows how much time you have NOT in a vehicle/aircraft, I thought of that as a few idiots took all the vehicles with no passengers and stranded about 20 people at an uncap so we all had to start walking
hell they should also give you credit for swimming, that may seem meaning less but when compared to something like the parachute it sorta makes sense, I mean cmon they even keep track of total time with chute deployed so every 2 second jump off a 1 story building adds up

Yeah, it would be nice to add a few more ribbons / awards to keep BF2 alive. But that's exactly what EA doesn't want... but that's another discussion.

Yes, an award for Infantry based combat would be nice. And you're right, there is a ribbon for parachuting... why not a "Swimming" ribbon? One of the things I liked about BF2142 were there pins... awarding for kill streaks of 5 or 10, 5 head shots, etc.

An infantry award would be cool, as IO is pretty much all i play these days. It would be nice if it was something challenging, like 80+ kills in a round (and grenade kills DONT count) or 50+ revives. Head shot awards would be nice as well. You could also get an award by doing a certain amount of 'saving shots', e.g. one of your teammates is taking hits and you kill the guy who's firing at him.

i think...the more hours you have as infantry, you should be able to run/swim faster and farther...i know it wont happen, and dont you dare tell me to go to IO..damn nade spammers*sigh*

why is that stupid, if you look at my stats you can see that I am an armor whore, so why not if you look at VC_Resurrecteds' stats youd see he is a ground pounder

I think it would be cool to have it like XXX hours on the ground, XXX total kills, XXX IAR kills, and I think that in order for you to get your Basic, Veteran, and Expert combat badges kills from vehicles/aircraft shouldnt count

Then you'd have 'walking whores' trying to get their awards, or 'swiming whores'/'water whores' - just imagine a bunch of people swiming to get their awards, easy targets... :laugh:

yeah I agree that for just time it is ridiculous, like the parachute, thats why I said I thought it would be cool if they had total kills, IAR kills etc etc added to it as well
