only prob is its alowed in my fire wall
and iv only ever had probs with that after a update .
and even then it was just cus i forgot to change the settings .
ah well im sure il find the prob tomorrow some time .

when i update BF2 and im using zonealarm right now.
sorry should have said .think i have it now just off to try .
well apart from showing myself up maybe it will help others .
cant see it some how lo btw more to do with me than you m8 .

Sorry I don't know zonealarm...maybe someone else can chime in. But the listening socket error does come from bf2 unable to gain access to the internet.Comment

hmm ive had trouble in the past with Zonealarm, the odd time when it updates it cuts off my internet access so forcing me to either revert to an older version of zonealarm or uninstalling it completely,,
Just try closing Zonealarm and see if BF2 works then,Comment

ya im going to try reinstalling it to see if that helps any .
i have a feeling my setting have been messed with badly .
