BF2 Bouncing Back... kinda.

Like most BF2 servers we saw a dip after the release of 1.4.1 along with 2142. We're seeing around 50 players again during peak time (5-10 pm). I'm sure some of the return to higher numbers is due to fewer servers since a lot of players did move to 2142. The 2142 server is always full at peak times...

Are we recovering?

Well by looking at how BF2 is constantly beating 2142 by greater and greater margins when you look at the top-10 games stats on the xfire homepage, I'd say we are.

Many BF2's players who bought BF2142 are probably getting tired of it already and are coming back to BF2. I'm one of them.

I'm the same, its OK as a new game but it didn't grab me by the balls like BF2 did. My main gripe is the map colours and the models. Some of the wrecked cars look soo badly drawn that my 6 year old son could have done better. So the long and short of it is, its no way near as pretty as BF2 IMHO.

2142 is horrible- period

however im seeing a lot less bf2 servers since 1.4.1... on a list refresh I used to list off over 1000 populated (out of 3000) right up to the patch, now its down to about 800 populated out of 2500.

You think Bf2 is doing bad? Take a look at SF. It's a real shame too. I think SF has a lot more potential than people credit. Personally, I like it more than Vanilla.

Sloi, try the Demo, even if its just for the retardoppers. Since youre a helo and not a jet man, you might just feel them to be almost as enjoyable to fly as helos in BF2.

Don't think that is gunna get as popular as it was in 1.3-1.4 but ye I guess that it is kinda getting a little bit bigger.

I introduced BF2 to my mate. When BF2142 came out i decided to stick with this game mainly to achieve more (awards wise). My mate pre-ordered BF2142 and has now come back to BF2 in the short time it has been out
His reason was because the idea for the game was good but they didnt carry it out well enough. I have played the demo but didnt feel the same way about it as i did when i first played this.

the maps as a whole are better imo. and the night maps are amazing, but its no fun going to Night Flight when there are only 5 other people in the server. ghost town is the only one that ever has people, kinda like karkand(im an addict, as many of you may know) but i cant play ghost because of all the freakin snipers.

2142 is a great game, however after about 2-3 hours of it it just gets plain and boring. The biggest reason that I personally decided to come back to bf was due to the horrible performance of 2142 on my rig...I would get the max LOW of 20 fps at some points and in bf2 I average 60-90 fps with same settings.

2142 has a lot of things going for it, I'll probably play again once they're done adding in more content (which they're testing now ).

Until then I'm working on my big bird.

hey so i dont have bf2142 yet is it worth getting it or should i just keep to bf2 ??
