jus actually taken a a look at the link. thnx for that mate, gave me some gd info i needed. is it worth buy a 1gb of SDRAM DIMM and putting it in one of the slots in the set of 3.

        Re: New RAM

this will be going back sometime

the SDRAM Dimms (set of three) the speed of the ram in 1 of those slots (133) would be half the speed of one in the other set of 2 (266).

So the DDR Dimms would be better for you to buy Ram for, 1GB stick of ram $95 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141172

oh and the SDRAM Dimms are more like server memory and can cost around $200 for 1gb stick

a pc that old would be something for office use and minor gaming, a new computer would be best for next year,

yes, if you do put faster ram in it will run at the same speed as the slowest

              Re: New RAM

ok thnx 4 that. well i thnk i got quite a low speed 200 sumthin mayb. as i can guess tho you cant buy this speed anymore lol. if i did still buy a 1GB stick and the speed is highed in the 300-400's for example. is this still worth doing you think, i currently have 512mb n am struggling with most games atm

                Re: New RAM

DDR 333/400 isnt supported by your motherboard so spending money on that speed of ram is pointless as it may not work or might just run at DDR266 but you can still buy DDR266

buying ram of this speed will just be a temporary fix you really need a new PC for future release games
