    bf2 starts then returns to dekstop

    all i get is the splash screen then black forr 10secs boom back to desktop

    i think it might be my processer

    1.73ghz
    1gb ram
    128mb intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family
    windows sp2 home

    its mainly your graphics onboard Intel graphics arent supported by BF2,

    and the processor needs to be a minimum of 2.0ghz

        I dunno i have the same problem, the stupid thing is that BF 2142 works and runs, but BF2 isnt ...justs crashes to the desktop, i just say that sticky thing and im going to try some of the things sugested..

          n987; your onboard Intel graphics is much newer than intox, not to mention that the 945GM should be able to run Vista,

            hmm ya, im just having trouble getting it to run, hmm, theres gotta be somthing im missing
            3D-Analyze helps with bf 2142, not BF2, must be somthing im overlooking

              nope, BF2 just doesnt support onboard graphics, they might have changed something for BF2142 as it seems to work better than BF2
