disconnect?

Every 20-30 min, I get disconnected EVERY server. What is tha problem

only happening with BF2? or any other games also, sounds like a provider or modem/router problem to me if not are you connection setting correct in BF2?

As i wrote in another thread i tried basically "ALL" possible things to fix this prob. However, yesterday I gave up and called my provider (1und1, German provider) They told me that they have had ALOT! of calls especially regarding BF2. The guy said its not on my side but on their side, he was not more specific then that. Anyhow, he recommended me to dl TCPOptimizer from Speeguide.net http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php, it has a tic box that says "optimal setting", I tried that and rebooted. As this was early this morning I only had time to try it on 2 maps, but it seems to be working, no "connection lost blah blah" I will try again here in a min, will report back if it holds.

Ok last shot...
1: Did you update BPupdate.exe from within the PB folder? if not do!
2: Does your mobo have more then 2 network adaptors (mine do)? if so check if both are switched on and if so switch one off!
3: Did you run a "CLEAN" install of BF2. I mean DELETED the BF2 folder in your Document and Settings folder + ALL! the stuff in Regedit (be sure to save your personal settings 0001, for key settings etc) and ran the FULL! 1.41 Patch ? if not DO! ( I know a pain in the butt)
4: Be SHURE! to update your CHIPSET DRIVERS!
5: Be sure to update your ROUTER SOFTWARE!

Running out of options here...

Well, ran a cupple of maps and no prob, then suddenly "connection etc etc" just sat there for 5 sec in map, and then back in to the server browser.

I'm having the exact same issue but I've given up now and I just play the singleplayer mod.

I don't blame patch 1.41 though because this started happening during 1.4 and only when I upgraded my PC to:

Abit KN8 SLI motherboard
Athlon 64 x2 4800+ 2.41GHz
Geforce 7950 GX2 1GB
2GB Corsair DDR400

So I blame my new PC. It hates BF2 Multiplayer. Even if I host a LAN server on another PC it disconnects from that within 5mins into the game. I've tried all sorts to fix it and nothing works. Even going back to older patches doesn't work. But this is only a BF2 thing. It's fine staying connected with any other game I've tried.
