Euro Forces problems

I DL and installed Euro Forces about 6 weeks ago.

I have only played about 1.5 hours in that time but
now when I try to get on 1 of the 3 maps on any
server I get a message say:

Cannot connect to server with modified content.
Please get most current version to play this...

This is not verbatim but it's pretty close.

The only things I have done since the last time I
was able to connect to a Euro server was DL
patch 1.41 and I did remove the movies that
play before you log into BF2 or SF. I can still get
on all of the Armored Fury maps but if they change
to an Euro Forces map I get booted.

Any ideas??? Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Any of them, Taraba Quarry, Great Wall or Operation Smoke Screen.

It goes through the whole loading process for the maps but
when I go to join the map and select a kit it gives me the
error message.

Upgrade to 1.41 complete. It is in the EA link or even here

It is exactly the same problem I had and yes it works.

You may find that 1.41 is NOT updating the EF AF files. If this is the case, you will have to reinstall EF/AF and THEN 1.41. If you bought the packs through the Link, this can be tricky. PM me if you need help and I'll post a guide.

Did that last night, uploaded the 1.41 patch no luck. Still getting the error message. Any thoughts...:hmm:

If you got EF and AF via the EALink and it only gives you the option of playing AF and EF not not reinstall then that was my issue too. Here is what you do. Follow These instructions precisely and you will have no problems. Ask questions as opposed to make a mistake here.

1: Open this folder
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES
and have the folder sized so it is not the entire size of your monitor. You should be able to see the Battlefield 2 folder AND your regular desktop.

2: MOVE the Battlefield 2 folder to your desktop. It is large so it will take a moment after dragging and dropping it.

3: Go into your EA Link and now the PLAY button will instead be an INSTALL button. Hit this button

4: It will go through some startup crap and so forth and finally get to a language screen offering you English as well as other install languages. DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING YET. At this point, move the Battlefield 2 folder BACK into the EA GAMES folder.

5: Select English and continue with the install.

6: Ones install is done, remember to install 1.41 update.

Thats it. You should be good to go.

It took me two tries doing this (I've no idea how I messed it up the first time.) But it worked and I'm having no more issues with getting the same error message mentioned earlier in this thread.

1.41 doesn't always patch the expansions. Reinstall is the solution, but there is no reinstall button for the EA Link peeps.
