Or ran a server. People that don't run servers often don't know the extra expenses that one "spends" on bf2.

Since the OP specifically stated bf2 and expansions, and the ****er who replied suggested he spent over 1k, I was being... hello!... sarcastic. Hell I spent well over 2k on a computer this year... so what? Wanna rub our huge e-peens together?

If they ever come out with anything new i want WWII and one of the maps needs to be perl harbor that would be awsome iv always wanted a good bf game with the old planes and stuff *day dreaming*

I'm buying 2142 because BF2 is full of hax and nade spamers now.
But i'll still play BF2 untill they nerf the choppas again.

LOL, 2142 is only two months old and already the idiots at DICE released THREE patches to fix the bugs. To top it off, the new patch is causing CTD/lost connection DEJA VU
LIke someone already said, both games share the same engine. Therefore, same or similar hax, nade spamming is also possible in 2142.

Regarding stat padders, well think about it, if you are a stat padder and enjoy winning meaningless medals, and you have most of them playing BF2, would you stick around BF2 or move to the MOD 2142 which has new shiny meaningless medals?

Don't forget about the Spyware in 2142

Ya I been waiting and waiting for the Forgotten Hope WW2 mod ...as to those who said EA doesnt read this actually a couple of the guys do cruise these forums from time to time,,,but will they try to keep the bf2 franchise going? It would be smart for them to do so with the dismal failure of 2142. To those who say 1000 servers ya i see 1000 or so at night with like maybe 20 or so with people actually on them, and unfortunatly since no one is regulating it they are full of smaktards and stat padders and totally bogus rules like kill me in a fair fight ur banned ect ect....

I personally found that Poe2 and PRMM have rekindled my manly love for BF2. New maps, weapons, armour, etc... new style of play.
I had the best experience on Friday night in a PRMM server, better than any BF2.
EA dont care, but the modders and their community do...back em up, come have some fun.....come get some...

EA seems stupid to not take map submissions from the community and release it officially.....they would be able to boast of their massive map selection, and more people would buy the game, and it would cost them next to nothing...

any game company who could do this would kick ***.......because it would be tight with the gaming community, and would have loads of content, which gives it more value
