Dear EA,
I spent more than a hundred bucks on bf2 and related expansions, but ranked servers are disapearing faster than squirels in a snake cage.

Of the ones left they mostly consist of two extrremes...ones with stupid rules like if we are in a dog fight and i fly to my uncap u get banned for finishing me off in the airspace over my uncap..to the ones with no rules where you spawn and die to the rapers with faster pc's who get to ur uncap before your firstplayer spawns...

Might I suggest you save the BF2 series by issuing a new FREE map pack... many have left for other games out of boredom and frustration and i really dont want to see bf2 die an early death...

Unfortunately it's been tried... amd failed. EA & Dice have moved on in my opinion... I love the game and can't wait to play again. The only thing that sucks is that it may not last that long. I've heard 2142 sucks. May just be back to WoW for me. lol.

I don't think dice or ea reads this (correct me, i'm not sure) forums. Exactly what version are you in? Did you check your internet filters?

I'm buying 2142 because BF2 is full of hax and nade spamers now.
But i'll still play BF2 untill they nerf the choppas again.

Yeah i like the game, But i can't wait tell ArmA comes out ;D

BF2142 is full of problems already, there is like 4 or 5 patchs already

Exactly. BF2 and BF2142 use the same engine, so the same hacks are going to be around on both games =/

im with the topic creater i can barely stand bf2 now cuz everytime i play i try as hard as i can to just use my gun and to never bunnyhop but everyone else jumps around like crazy and throws grenades everywhere. I never use grenades unless everyone is huddld in a group by a closed in flag.

Also, i was just on a karkand map and I was on the street where noone can spawn and just waiting for people to go by and all of a sudden an enemy appears out of nowhere in the middle of the street and killed me.

Don't ask stupid things, that you know that is asked a billion time and still no answear

What I would suggest, let battlefield 2 die and lets buy ETQW and FFOW, UT2007

specailly FFOW from the makers of DC mod from bf1942.
they where bought by dice and ripped by dice with in a year and now they started a new company (KAOS)

They all have already a community site up for suggestions and questions and sort of stuff.

and still the game will have to wait at 2Q of 2007.
until that I will play ETQW then

if you read some interviews you will hear they will put a whole team together for just update the game :) , and to hope they have a different attitude against the community, by not breaking it down with boosterpacks until game is really finshed.


(Still I hate those bossterpacks because, it's less content for more money, so ripp off)

:anywho back on topic, yeah im back on wow until unreal and QW comes out. Bf2142 sucks horribly and is meant for toddlers. BF2 dying no lying.

The reason i bought BF2 was because it looked like a game that had everything armor,infantry,boats (i know they suck i was deceived by the picture of boats on the box art). jets and helocopters. BF2 was original 2142 is not.

I dont think EA will give up on BF2 but who knows.

Jones is right, whether it's been discussed before or not. EA needs to infuse new life into this game buy releasing a community-made ranked map pack. They have tons of mappers willing to contribute, they wouldnt even have to do much work beyond QA/QC. I love the game but grow tired of the same ol' maps.
