no bro the tv missile is the hand of God its so simple not like in 2142 im 4 ranks from the highest rank earned with poitns in that game and i only ahve 4 kills with 2142's tv missile equivalent and 2 were two guys running next to each other and my mini gun overheated so i switched and got lucky killed em both the second one i hit a tank and it blew up but my game froze when it said you killed...youkilled... that thing is worthless in 2142 long live the bf2 tv missile

I ran out of breath reading that Jarhead, a comma here and there helps.

I've been playing a bit of 2142. I was fully willing to give it a chance, but frankly I find it quite horrible. Basically BF2 with loads of unneccesary chunky nonsense grafted on to it. I also recieved 4 promotions in one sitting and a ton of badges, which I found quite confusing.

Anyway OT, I don't use the G3 all the time. Far from it, I'm an AT whore, but I find the weapon effective only on certain maps. I wouldn't dream of using it for an entire round of Fushe Pass/Dalian Plant. On Karkand/Mashtuur I can make great use of it though.

Unlocks are just for people, that arent good enough to use standard weapons. F2000/g36e/g3 the lamest weapons there, unfortunatelly 2/3 high ranks players uses them all the time, love owning them with ak/m16. But unless you're playing some serious clanwars, you underestimate power of standard weapons, few days ago i played pcw before recent cb open cup matches with some nl guys playing only with SF unlocks, and they've got pretty nice owned with ak's and m16's on sharqi :} For teh powning with g36e/f2000 all you need is a mouse and some infantry to kill, no skill is required at all :/

with the exception of the g36e, the unlocks are not far and away better than the stock weapons, they are alternatives. skill is certainly required. unless your definition of skill doesnt involve staying alive, in which case every weapon is for t3h n0obz0r cos you just needa point it at someone and click it fast enough.

as for the clanwars match with nl people using unlocks against someone else not using them, did you ever stop to think that perhaps the 2nd team were simply far and away better than nl?? because according to your logic, every single person with an unlock should be getting destroyed by people using stock weapons... which really doesnt make much sense.

anyone can kill anyone else (on foot) with any weapon, if they take the time to learn how to use the bloody thing.

Yes youre right, but g36e and f2000 doesnt require much skill with recoil controlling, in g36e you just hit lmb fast and magic burst keep killing people, f2000 is also far to easy to operate. Because of that i really hate to play infantry servers, where 90% people are medics with g36e Recently I've played few rounds with f1r3starter ( guy with highest score in the world - read no lifer ;]) and he was'nt so good, all kills with g36e and about 30-40 revives per round :/

while the f2000 has little recoil, there is a good deal of spread on continuous fire. The g36e has actually got a (what i consider) considerable recoil if you fire more than 1 3-round burst...

I dunno, perhaps i just notice it more because of the fuss around the 36e, but hey.

I can't get enough of this gun recently. Sod the G36E, if you can master this weapon then you're an unstoppable infrantryman. The 20 clip doesn't really bother me giving it only takes 4 bullets to down a man with the thing, 1 if it's a headshot.

Yes i have used it quite abit laterly, its an awsome gun great range and awsome accuracy...

Just remember not to spray else your f*cked, you will lose the whole clip in seconds!

I dont have SF or EF and I'm happy mastering default weapons for serious battlefield, nof freeplay ;] G3 is nice if used from time to time, but ak101+grenade lancher is far more deadly imho.
BTW Hmm just done quick maths, and since f1r3starter start playing bf2, has spent 11% time of the last 15 months playing xD I think he needs psychiatric help ;]

I personally find it amusing when some 1 says this, or that "high ranker" got a bunch of kills, & a bunch of revives, but he wasn't that good because he did it w/ the G36E, sound like a good team player to me lol

But no big deal, I am easily amused

@ the beginning of a round everybody has the same choice of weapons, if you are dead, complaining about what weapon your enemy killed you w/ just seems, IM

#1 reason why I like the G36E is you can pwn "wanna be" snipers, & PKM snipers on the hilltops even before you close w/ the enemy in CQC gg

I dont blame people for using it, I just say that this weapon needs little skill to be good, and some skill to pwn people with it ;] And most top score players are just there because of stats padding or enourmous time spent playing ;]

IMVHO the G36E just "works"

There are few things sweeter, or more lucrative (points wise) in this game than to kill several enemy soldiers in quick succesion, & then revive all your team m8's they just killed gg

G36E is "easy mode". You can argue all you want but if you get the "superman" feeling with a gun, then you know theres something right about it.

As for G3 being the gun of gods- I personally prefer the AK101. It has the most intimidating sound and really boosts my engagement courage, right next to that shotgun.

The MEC pump action shotty? I was playing with that for 2 rounds of Karkand earlier on. Despite not getting anywhere near the kills I would with more or less any other primary weapon, I stayed with it for the glamour of the thing. chuck chick.. boom. Great fun.

Anyway, I wasn't saying the G3 is beyond doubt the greatest weapon in the game. Far from it, it has niggling faults. Just it's loads of fun when you know how to wield it.

Additionally, I can't be doing with non-unlock purism at bloody all. Those unlocks are there for a reason, to be used, and they're not at all automatically superior. Bar the G36E, which is incredibly easy to wield, you are NOT in someway a better and more skillful player simply because you don't use unlocks. Each and every weapon has its nuances that need time to figure out.
