I hate G3, just the sound of it in-game makes me go like "bobo n00bgun"!

I prefer using default weapons in bf2, not unlocks.

The G3 is awsome for CQB, and a fairly decent gun in mid-range. Just single-fire, crouch / prone and aim to the chest (chest+recoil = hs mostly).

Its only problem is the 20 bullets clip. If no one sees you, you can kill 2 enemies, maximum. But if you are defending a flag or something... Well your first opponent will be down for sure but the second one will catch you on low ammo, which will result (probably) with your death. Unless the second one is a real noob. Oh, and you will get this 1 assist point :)

And the absence of the GL is sometime refreshing... It kinda depends on my mood, one time I'd like to play with hte GL and the other time I won't.

Oh, and the AK101 is also great... When I want a bigger clip (as said above, which can decide wether you die or survive), a bit more accuracy and GL I instantly choose it. It's like equal to the G3, with different attributes, which can be more appropriate to different maps or just your feel.

IF... you don't need to master the G36E to kill some one in 2 bersts!

True that, though I tend not to go with the G36E when I go medic. Not because I'm some anti-unlock purist, but more because I love playing the with L8.

Umm, do u even know what CQB stands for? Any weapon with a rate of fire like the g3 is not ideal for CQB.

People say that people who use the G3 just have t3h sk!l15 or something but they act like it's a great gun.

Truth:
1. It is the least accurate assault rifle but after firing three shots it becomes slightly more accurate than the AK47 does after firing the same shots.
2. Its actual crosshair is so much off I find myself doing better aiming to the left of a target than straight on.
3. Its ROF is too high to warrant any spray'n'pray, full auto is pretty much useless because of #1 and the tiny clip. I'll have to time how long it takes to empty a clip, my estimate is about 3-4 seconds.

Pick one of the traits and put them in another assault rifle, I might be okay with it. But all of them combined just adds up to a terrible gun.

whe i come across some one who can actually shoot i respawn with a g3 but in a busy firefight with many enemies ur doomed with it the clip goes out way to fast....

Isn't CQB = Close Quarters Battle? It isn't a 0 meters range, but very close to close. Am I right?
If so than it IS a very good wep for CQB, excuse me I mean 3-4 shots and the enemy is down. The G3 is a master weapon at close range (and not at med-long) because of its lack of accuracy. Though its ROF isn't the best out there, it's enough because of its high punch.

I think the G3 is great. I use it exclusively for Assult. Also I usually track what guns my oppenent ueses if hes owning me, and the most used weapon is the G3.

The only prob is that it's Assault. You can get more points from Medic or Support.

how many people these days play for the bloody points? how many play for fun??

Granted, i have many more hours as medic than anything else, but that is because of 2 things - in my clan, i tend to play medic if im not in armour, and so when we go pubbing its basically a natural choice. Also, i got sick of the numbers of medics who wouldnt heal you up or revive you, despite jumping in their face. so, i will follow as a medic, then taunt them as they lay dying. maybe they can learn the lesson then..

i used the G3 today, and it is basically unstoppable if used right, just that you run out of ammo so fast, but if im out there and i see a support kit, ill just throw an ammo bag or 2 and be back to full

The most I've gone was 4 guys...2-3 shots to the head and I had to reload. It's not hard, leave it on full auto and reload when your ammo gets to around 5-6 left in the magazine.

First of all the G3 does not use a clip, it uses magazines - see picture below.



The trick with the G3 is to fire 3 round bursts at long range since it get more accurate and actually loses recoil that way as opposed to firing a single shot.
