Need Help on New PC

Hi, is there anyone that can help me here? Im thinking of building/buying a deceint computer for around £500, can any1 give me some pointers on what components eg. motherboards etc. are good?

I'd say, if your on a budget, get yourself a comp with a 3800+, 7600gt, 2 gigs of ram definatly. Not sure on motheboards,, but the components listed are very decent.

Until AMD comes out with something big you'll want to go with an Intel processor, they outperform anything else out there.

To be honest, that 800$ computer really is terrible. The moniter, CPU and motherboard are all fine, but the video card, case& psu and ram really don't measure up.

That's why it's a low end computer, not used much for gaming.

thats £474 inc vat but not P&P..

i noticed in your list you needed a monitor , its about £100 for a TFT and under £50 for a CRT there still good on a budget

Thanks Scinto, all i need now is the money So if i orderd it now and put it together and downloaded bf2 i can play it straight away or do i need to buy the microsoft operating system?

er yeh you need to buy Windows XP Home/Pro, i got those parts through their custom pc builder so you can pick which parts and software you want and they'll build it i guess

XP Home = £55
XP Pro = £92
