sorry to bother, i) how can you tell what kind of FPS your getting out of your card ii) What is a reasonably decent rate....

Press '~' to bring down the console, and type 'renderer.drawfps 1'.
You want to aim for something higher than 30.

Thread finished, done.
FRAPS is invalid as running a program to obtain FPS colors the result by drawing overhead from the system.

i use fraps for fps and fast ss's. fraps doesnt eat much memory

I use TeamSpeak Overlay. I don't like the huge font that fraps uses and the BF2 console thing takes too long.
