As an Iraqi, there are many things I would like to express about the father land (Iraq) and the middle east. However, for this forum and topic sake, I will not express my views because this isn't the proper place for it (perhpas via PM). All I can say is watch the vid in my sig.

Regarding the vids, both very well done, but I got alittle bored.

Well, was expecting some native to comment something about the situation in Iraq. Yeah, it may be wise to leave this forum for gaming purelly.

The matter is interesting though, I lived in Iraq someting like 1978-1980. Really good time in my life. Wanna see Tigris and all my old playgrounds before it's my time. Ok, I'm not that old and I hope it will settle up in time. Where are you from? I lived near Baghdad that time. Not too many memories about the city. Two flated busses, those minaretes(?) and that old market place where everyone sold carpets :) What's it name?

Beautifull country with variety.

Eh? There WAS no terrorism threat from Iraq, that is until we actually invaded the place and created a Jihadist disneyland.

That had absolutely nothing to do with the reasons for going to war, the US/UK coalition would never launch a war on the basis of some altruistic human endevour, if so we'd have been in Somalia at the drop of the hat a few years back when innocent people were systematically murdered in the hundreds and thousands. I have no doubt most of the troops on the ground see their mission as helping Iraqi's establish a stable democracy, and for me that's the only slither of good that can be taken out a war that was totally wrong from the get go.

We were told Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, remember. We were lied to intentionally and then cynically told this was Operation Iraqi Freedom from day one, which I'm sad to see a lot of people have swallowed.

Saying that, I hate videos like this. They basically nod towards 'woah, real war kicks ***!' and just about stop short of saying it fully. This same mentality is why we get youtube links in the OT section of 50 Iraqis being obliterated by a TV missile under the thread topic 'cool vid'.

That 2nd vid is just completely and utterly crap. Why oh why do people who make these videos insist on using either some dire 50cents track or some horrendous teen angst roarrr roarrr guitarrr bollocks I'll never know. It's all a bit pointless really, isn't it.

Well thanks for your opinion on my video but if you dont like rock music songs then say that instead of just calling it crap without saying why or even taking time to notice how the video is scored with the song, it took hours videos are hard to make and people like you who are just critics ith little talent just annoy alot of people that work hard on these thing for YOUR entertainment.

I liked the editing, but all the ingame "action" looked caotic and weird.

I mean.. a tank driving around another tank? ppl running right into enemy fire, and sticking their guns down the throat of eachother?

Nah, I didn`t like the movie very much, mainly because of all the bad ingame footage. Try next time to make it look realistic(maybe without the bots?). When you first take on a realistic point of view(with the whole IRAQvsUS war) then make that count for the WHOLE movie, not just the intro(s).

The editing though, was brilliant, some of the best I`ve ever seen.

Indeed, Iraq used to be a beautiful place to live, and I would never have left if it wasn't for the wars and the constant harassment by Muslim extremist.
I lived in Baghdad until 1994, and came to the US (I’m 28 now). You probably figured out that I was there during the first Gulf war and the Iran war. I’ve seen everything in my years there, the good the bad and the ugly. However, I still have a lot of great memories from there and I wish to go back someday and visit the house where I grew up at and hopefully see some of my childhood friends.
My I ask what you were doing there. I believe the place you speak of is called: Al sooq al huura.

Too bad the Middle East is being run by Islamic Fascists. Hopefully, the good will prevail over evil.

It looks like the guy who made that video spent all the time making the intro text look cool, but once the in game footage started the camera work went to ****s. At that point this video becomes just another one that has its 1 day of glory. There are other videos that will be talked about for years, but this one wont be it. Sorry but thats the truth.
