1.41 patch probs

I installed the 141 patch the over 500mb one from file planet,installed it all seemed ok,got to the finish screen.When i go to join a server in multiplayer it makes a sound,then stops doing anything and puts me back to select a server.
at top right my ver= 1.1.2965-797.0 is this correct?

you want to have 1.41 obviously so you must have downloaded the wrong one.
if you did dl the right one, it wouldnt have done that.

I think that is the right version. I have that number at the top right corner of my screen too.

I've installed the Deluxe version which is BF2 and SF in one install, which says is version 1.3. Worked great, but now with 1.41 patch out, hardly any servers.

So I patched to 1.41. Patch finished just fine, but now every time I try to join a server I get this message:

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join."

I need some help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and then patched about 4 times. This hasn't woked, obviously.

I've defragged my drive each time as well.

Interesting. Mine says 1.1.2963-797.0... I'm not having any "connection issues" per se, but I am seeing a lot less servers. Maybe I didn't successfully install the 1.41 patch after all? I wonder if someone in the know might chime in here who's confident they've got the most current version installed and provide us with the long version number we should be seeing at top right of the screen?

For the record, I always wonder why it can't just say "1.41" at the top, instead of these oblique code numbers....

funny thing is i see alot of servers,i just cant join any.Also theres no error message,it flashes by too quickly to read.

How many servers are there that you can actually get it?

Getting disconnect with a few servers, is it worth uninstalling the patch (or possible?) It was fine before I installed.

Ok now it gets really weird I can play in vanilla bf2 servers but not SF servers!
and im seeing at least 100 sf servers listed.
