Question about Vehicles and Your Position

This is a newb question, but how do you get in an empty vehicle and change your position from driver to gunner, etc?

I have seen people run and jump right onto an armored vehicle directly into the gunner position and nail me with some mega firepower.

f1 through f6

f1 is usually driver - f2 is usually gun

some vehicles only carry 2 people (tanks) and some up to 6 (blackhawks - APC's)

Excluding helicopters, all vehicles' secondary positions suck.

Well, the guy jumped on one of the trucks with the armored turret on top and I was on foot so even if I shot at him, he had the noticeable upper-hand.

True, forgot that.

But FAV/DPV's guns pale to the APC's guns, or the tanks' shells and so on.

go on humvee and prees f2 infront of the enemy and mow him down with the 50 cal
