Account Login Problem

Im having a problem with myh Account Loging. It seems when i log into my Online account it tries to go into a server automatic and says " Connecting to Server Account" and takes about 10m. Does any1 know how to fix it?

Delete your profile through the BF2 login screen and then retrieve it again.

if that dosent work then try to reinstall the patch you run or reinstall BF2

is there a logical explanation behind that or it just works? cuz my acount loggin takes like 5 minutes where all my other friend takes like 6 seconds. i do have my password remembered and all. i then use xfire to launch bf2 ,and that made the login alot faster(3 sec). but after patch 1.4, it went back to 5 minutes even with xfire. i dont understand.

I think it may be to do with some files not getting cleared properly when settings are changed. For example, BF2 doesn't delete old shader settings when you change your graphics settings, so the old files are still there, clogging up your profile.

you can clear the cache in the my documents>battlefield 2 folder

and clean up the server info saved in the General.con

This happens to alot of people, usually deleting the account and then re-adding it works, other times waiting a day or two works also.
