after two time reinstalling windows xp my bf2 still doesn't work always when I want to patch it says patching failed, I downloaded an other patch 1.41 from a different site and again I had that error
I did the tutorial whit that temp-file that I found on this forum:
Execute Patcher, Choose language, wait for welcome screen, don't hit continue.
go to your documents folder and to this location:
c:\documents\YOUR USERNAME\local settings\temp
and look for a folder which looks like {BLAH....} lots of numbers and chars. Go into that folder structure and copy the files in it (e.g. patch.exe, all the files) to a folder where you can execute them (e.g. create a dir named C:\temp)
then open a commandpromt (type "cmd" in run/execute at startmenu) and go to your new created folder with the patchdata. Execute the with the following line (edit to your installfolder location of course):
patch.exe "c:\FolderWhereBF 2Is"
but there are two things I don't understand: in that temp file there is a folder that looks like {122545a2a22....} I open that one and the one inside it but I don't find a file called patch.exe, the only thing I find is cdkeycheck.exe
and two do you have to close the patch installer of the first stap?
can someone help me out now pls
