The best way to learn the technicalities of the game such as this and other things is to download some good frag tapes. I suggest Duck&Cover, I know I learned a lot from that one.

Yup.

If you go prone in CQC, you lose. I don't care how good you are.

Pretty much, anyone standing can literaly run circles around you and there's nothing you can do about it proned.
