Today, after a long time, I installed BF2 1.41 patch, and went to try it out,
And I noticed something really strange, a MEC team mate, in USMC uniform.

*Note name of the player in pic 1, then note the team in pic 2.

I was playing Wake Island the other day. I got moved by admin to other team. I got swapped to USMC, it spawned me on the carrier on the Scanner Radar, in Chinese uniform and Chinese Ak-47... Wtf?

I think this is the same...

ive had that bug, i made a post on here about it. i was mec, got auto swapped, so swapped back and spawned at t he mec base, but i couldnt get in vehicles with a team mate and it showed me as being on the USA team on the scoreboard.

^ yeah i got something like that where i spawned at the train wreck in karkand and it was a USMC base, and i had chose to be on the usmc team, but it spawned me as MEC at the USMC base

When I was playing on a laggy 24/7 Karkand server I had the option to spawn on the enemy commander, but when I clicked OK I spawned on OUR commander. Seeing as you're not supposed to spawn on ANY commander, that's pretty weird stuff.
