Wake wasn't ruined by anything, it was a bad map from the word go.
People only play on this map because it's popular. It's only popular because it's known as 'the plane map', which is only because people in a plane can mass ravage the Carrier or the Airstrip. Why? Because they're pathetically only about 500m apart from one another. It's not impossible to keep the other planes grounded 24/7 on this map.
Theres a reason why there is rarely any carrier/airfield rape on Zatar Wetlands, or the Gulf of Oman. It's not the lack of a J-10, but it's the extra distance between the two spawn points for planes that keeps them from keeping the other planes grounded 24/7.
Dragon Valley... hah, don't even think about trying to carrier rape here. The distance between the Airfield and the Carrier is so long that the other plane will probably already be in the air before you can finish your return trip.
i didnt go creating this topic not expecting people to disagree with what im doing, but i really dont mind baserape. YES, even when im getting baseraped. Let the j10er have his fun, and it gives you a challenge. And i never said i bombed the carrier, did i? I simply said i bombed the heck out of the flags on the island and then parachuted on the carrier. Of course we didnt have all the flags, and not everyone was there. in fact the carrier was almost empty. I just got lucky that no one could beat my ak-47, thats all. I probably did a max of 2 bombing runs on the carrier that game. And it was a long game, what was it? 18 on 18? Oh and about when i was owning the carrier, i did it mostly in a helicopter, SOLO. i had to destroy the AA every once in a while, conserving missiles and making each one hit and gets a kill. That takes some skill i believe.

Im sorry for "attacking" you so to say. Its just some people swear by playing this way. Wake is a great map yet it attracts the boneheads that swear how good they are by such cheap tactics, so it has a tendency to bring out the anti-chesse rage by the Bf2 majority. Like Dai said its a terrible map design.
Id liek to see a USMC base on the beach to start the map, make it capoable yet make it so the USMC doesnt "have" to spawn on the carrier.
Imagine all the cheap kills that wouldnt happen if say the USMC started with the northern beach tip as a base...it be such a better map.

I never said anything about it being real war, yes it's a game I never got anywhere close to the line of saying it wasn't. I guess you missed the fact that the object of the game is winning? Maybe so, here I'll make it easier for you, if you keep enemy jets/choppers grounded you can win alot faster/easier. How can anyone attack/cap/bomb anything if they can't get the equipt in the air?
Again common sense, I'm very sorry if you don't understand, I would color it in crayon but I don't think it would do any good based on your last 2 replies to me. Seems like you're just another one of those "people" that want to find EVERYTHING wrong with attacking an uncap.
Learn to defend your base or play on "No Uncap rape" servers, don't insult or get mad at me or try to twist what I'm saying just because I like to win the GAME.
