VERY dissapointed in SF

I am extreamly dissapointed in SF for a number of reasons...at first i was excited when i finally got the game and i was looking for it, for weeks... installed it, and right when i want to join a server BOOM! error... ok i fixed that and then BOOM BOOM 2 new errors... now that im irritated i do what some people have said and to reinstall v1.3 and i do that but now right when i get in loading of the server it crashes to desktop... :cry:

why dont you actually tell us the errors instead of just saying it has an error then we might be able to help you.

hold on now, the guy obviously went through a lot of effort to just complain... you want him to have facts and information in order to be helped? go easy on the guy.

besides it's not like anyone that plays vanilla ever has similar problems, this is clearly a SF only situation!

Have you redownloaded 1.41 from an alternative resource in case yours is corrupted?

Also, try defragging your drive and possibly starting a new Battlefield 2 folder in your My Documents to allow it to clear out all the old file startups. Be careful doing that as you will need your login names and passwords over again as well as any custom keyboard setups, video setups and voice will all need to be re-set up.

Did you patch over the top of your original install? Or did you do a full un-install? I would recommend un-installing, including deleting your Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents (like |CBW|Simon says), and the Battlefield 2 folder in EA Games, under Program Files.

You can keep your profile (key settings, mouse setting, general games settings etc), by going to "C:\Documents and Settings\Your name\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\" and copying the profile folder, keep it somewhere safe, and just replace it when you've finished installing BF2.

Then, do any regular maintenance like defragmentation, an Adaware scan, virus scan etc.

Try a complete reinstall remove vanilla and sf. delete cash files and folders. then reinstall bf2, then sf, then patch to 1.41. should do the trick. if no let us know and i'm sure someone will brow beat you more

omg signa! that was you? lol, i've seen you post quite a bit around here, just didn't put 2 and 2 together! definitely a blast to play with ya! been meaning to point you to this:

it's just a very small group of friends that gets together at least once/wk if not more often to play. non-competitive, very friendly (except for cf, he's from NJ). but it's who i hang out with mostly. check us out and come play with us if you can! i have you on my bf2s leader board also to try and catch you playing too. if i see you i'll try and hunt you down! :)

That's what happend to me now I can't even play SF:cry: :cry:
But since 2142 hase come out the price for SF and BF2 is now $50.00 NZD.
So you should just buy another SF disk and hope it's not fulty.
