Need help configuring a joystick!

Hey guys...kinda need help here in regards to configuring my new joystick. Just bought it today, not a cheap one..something mid-range, Logitech Attack 3. I was excited and all and really anticipating a good dog-fight. Went in to the game options and set all the buttons and stuff, then into the game.
Got myself into a J-10 and Jesus mother of god...when I push the stick to the left...THE PLANE ROLLS TO THE RIGHT!!! I mean WTF??? There's no way in the world for me to get used to that...and I don't want to force myself to play that way either, I'd rather get it right, to be able to roll left when I push the stick to the left.
But the funny thing is when I'm in the F-35 it's normal again...

I tried going back into the games option to have a look. I turned out that Stick to the left and stick to the right is called the same axis-Axis 0.

Now I'm wholey confused...can someone please help me?

Go and read the thread on Joy to Key and get that program. You will want it once you see what it does. http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/searc...archid=1011316

The axis stuff in the settings. You only need to set it for one way only and the other way is set for you automaticly. I set mine for the right side only and the left looks after itself.Same goes for the throttle control and Pitch.

Practice on an empty server so you don't make a fool of yourself. You can then make adjustments as required without stuffing anyone else around. Once you are happy with your config go and play for real.

Try the saitek guide in my sig. It's for a different stick but it's close enough and explains your issue.

That was a great guide, but it didn't address my problem, which is moving the joystick to the opposite direction when rolling...

all it is is when you configured your joystick you must of pushed your axis the wrong way, reconfig it in the game setting and make sure u push the stick left then u have selected the left roll, it will automaticly do the right for you same with up and down

go back to bf2 settings, highlight the offending axis and press Esc

then highlight one again and push the right way - if its still wrong, go back, repeat but push the other way instead.

That was a great guide, but it didn't address my problem, which is moving the joystick to the opposite direction when rolling...

i had the same problem, the only fix for me was to copy and paste a friends settings to correct the issue.
