FF OFF = bad idea

Turning friendly fire off is not a good idea. I just left a server (TSC) with FF = OFF and it was a nightmare. People were using C4 to blow each other sky high so they could get jets and helos, and I also pressume they just think it's funny to see a teammate flying 40 feet in the air. People were also using the ESSEX gun to do the same thing. I will avoid servers like that from now on.

Ridiculous.

yeah i know a clan that goes in there some days, a group of them (all captains) and they just run around with C4 throw it at you and blow it up leaving them unharmed...really lame tbh cuz they put it on your spawnpoints too

It is a double-edge sword, it is good for stopping tks, but its also allows rampant nadeing, and also claymore spamming...

You can still get tk'd for a vehicle, driving a car towards someone and jumping out or when they goto take off in say a set, ram them with a car. You can even c4 people in mounted weapons and it will still kill them. :|:

You wanna try nightmare go to the [Spec Ops] servers. Worst. Servers. Ever.

Thier Karkand server has admins on all the time, yet nothing gets done about the glitching (rules state no glitching).

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. They got me again with thier airmaps server. Total crap.

I play IO Spec alot, havent had any problems there. I do know alot of bitching about hacking goes on there though.

Not at all, just about every FPS game out there has some form of this dating back to quake (rocket jumping).

ive had some great games in bf2 when FF is off. its nice to play without getting tk'ed and also you cant tk your team when dropping bombs or throwing grenades.

as for people c4 jumping onto roofs... i have no problem with it, if they kill loads of people while up there, then their victims need to wake up and stop being stupid.

C4 jumping is a painfully obvious oversight from BF2's developers. This is why many people complain about DICE's ineptitude.

However, because it is coded into the game, I don't see it as illegal; It's just cheesy.
