  • A valuable Sniping instructional video

A discussion in another thread about snipers hiding in bushes made me remember this little gem and laugh. "How not to be seen", taught by Monty Python.

It's one the youngsters may not have watched before:

Remember, the best hide is useless if it is still obvious.

Sometimes the most obivious of places work the best. The Hotel roof in Jalalabad comes to mind because I can go whole rounds up there without dying. Believe it or not, alot of cover can be had from the height of the building itself. When I see 5 or 6 Snipers get picked off beside me, I tend to believe its all how you work it. Also a little FYI when you're working that hide: "Use the smoke as your shield (of concealment).", When the hotel is taken and you run out of clays watch the ladder with your scope. It often proves to be entertaining, more times than not, to pop off a few head shots and then Parachute down like f***in James bond himself to take the flag.

The video is in jest, but of course super high roofs can have an advantage, especially if you stay back from the edge so your position is defilade to the majority of ground troops.

The video is referring more to using the lone bush technique.

Just because I can't see you, doesn't always mean I can't find you. I've laid a few blind grenades into obvious cover, and gotten lucky before.

As a sniper i like to camp ppl dont like camping snipers but i dont care bushes are my friends its so funny when they start looking for you and u snipe em a few more times while they look.

or in the city i stay behind the advancing infantry so that the people fighting on the frontline are already prone returing fire.
