1.41 ctd still

im still crashing to desktop over here ..

i dont know about anyone elce but on infantry only with ff off and autobalance on,
i get crash to desktop when someone swiches teams and or i swich team becase we ben looseing 30 rounds plus...

ive pretty much narrowed it down to that autobalance becase that is the only time it ever happens to me ....

it, also seems to me, that this auto balance is retarded in the fact that it swiching me and other people that have ben playing on that team for a long time, not to mention were squaded up and also have high points...

let me tell you its verry annoying knowing that you were a big part of the team winning with 80 points + and have to swich sides ..really just flat out sucks...


it seems to me that if the server was to swich people around it would be the new comers with higher ping and less kills that are not squaded up first...

anyway all in all ctd still exists please fix the game so that i dont keep crashing to desktop becase of the autobalance issue thanks ...

if anyone elce has some comments to add that would be great...

I have CTD only once with the new patch, it happened 3 secs after I switched teams, many other people I know CTD when they dswitch teams as well.

Since 1.2 I haven't had too many CTD. After 1.41 I have had at least 15 CTDs and it seems to get worse. Solely tonight I had 5 of those. It's getting near my irritation level again.

If this is going back to situation what it was when 1.03 was released, I'll quit and never get back to this or any of EA products. They can wipe their a_sses with that 2142. Never gonna get it, not even if I could get it for free.

Okay it may be something else but let's see, but how can it be that there has never been any problems with any other game I've installed. This is like bad karma or something...

Nope ever since 1.41 i have'nt crashed to desktop once, the game has stalled but i leave it about 3 mins and it returns to normal, for once im happy with the game not doing that. Plus it prob has something to do with your gaming rig.

I never had the old CTD problem, but as soon as I installed the 1.41 patch it happened. Wasn't this patch supposed to primarily fix the CTD!?!

I get a strange crash randomly and it's only in IO, I have never crashed under normal game play.

I would check all the usual stuff starting with looking in program manager to see how many programs your computer is running. When I checked mine I found I was running 58 programs. Anyway, I started by moveing all the work load away from my CPU that I could move easiely. Like putting the in game video and audio to the hardware controlled setting thats in the game under the settings tab.
I still didnt think that this was enough so I down loaded a program called "Smart Close" and I always run it before I play BF2. It shuts down everything that you dont actually need to run your computer and you can put stuff on the ignore list to keep it running, I added my joy stick driver to the ignore list. After running "Smart Close" I went from 58 running programs to 25 running. This seemed to help my computer a lot. Good Luck. . . . . . . . . .Red


*The main Idea here is that your computer will start shutting running programs down when the CPU starts getting to hot. This doesnt mean that the CPU is about to burn up but it does mean that you have reached a temperature that has been determined in BIOS to be a dangerous level to run at. So it decreases the work load by closeing programs. Less work equals less heat and last in is first out, ok.
