Need help as sniper

Hello all, I got this game last month and so far i've mostly been playing sniper and I have a few questions.


1. hitting mooving targets: how far ahead do I aim?
2. how should I set my graphics and video options to get the least lag but so I can still see a target far away?
3. How does ping factor in when taking shots? do I have to aim ahead even more when shooting a mooving target?
4. I've head about setting a secondary fireing key so your mouse dosent moove when taking a shot, is this something to worry about (I have a mx518 btw)?

you have to feel it

have a friend stand in front of you, and have him slap you as fast as he can

from the time his hand leaves your sight to the time you feel the pain, that, should give you clue how much to "lead"

This question is actually alot more complex to answer that you would think.

It all depends on your location and angle relative to the target, and whether or not they are sprinting or just running. If you're at a perpendicular orientation (90* or so), forget about even taking the shot, you'll just waste bullets and give away your position. Playing the Sniper kit is all about being patient and waiting for the right time to pull the trigger (i.e. track them in your sights until they stop for a moment and you have a split-second dead shot on them)

You should only attempt a lead on the target if they are moving at closer to parrallel of your sights, for instance, running in your direction or away from it and even then the lead should be very minor. My best suggestion is to play single player and get a feel for the guns; nothing beats practice.

As randomly as players move, especially when they're nursing a depleted sprint bar, it's really, really hard to get a shot on someone moving from left to right across your view. In real life it's easier, because a human's movements are much more energy conservant, and they don't always assume they're being aimed at, but in BF2 people are just too erratic to hit those shots with any consistency.

If you really, really want that kill, try pulling out your silenced pistol and either hit him with a round or two, or hit around him so he knows he's being shot at. Most players will just run around even more erraticly, but sometimes you can get them to take up cover and stop for a moment, or turn their bodies towards the direction the shot came from, which presents a wider profile.

With L96A1 or M85, you can take them down to near-death, if not kill them outright from the pistol shot, or previous damage. Both sniper weapons take something like 90% health with a body shot.

Heh, yeah, take a shot to get their attention, and jump around like a madman...then set your claymore in the direction that they'll be coming from.

They'll be all like:"Ooh, a sniper...easy two points! Lalalala, turn corner, lalalBOOM!!"

if your in a populated area, stay hidden because everyone can hear your sniper

also for beginers get used to hitting a target thats maybe walking prone or something to get used to it

Would love to be able to mod Claymores, so the front end has "Hi." stenciled on it.

a lot of it comes down to ur set up... like questions 2,3 and 4. if u have a good set up just set ur options to the highest they go. u will get no lagg and u will still hit ur target...as long as ur a good sniper

Yes because choosing to use other weapons in your kit makes you like the same sex in real life.
