anybody else having trouble getting the demo working? i crash to desktop every time and i have the patch installed also.

Well I manage to start it up but my frame rate sucks big time and the lag is terrible. I guess there is much to do in optimizing game code. My rig is definitely not a top notch but it should run it. (AMD Athlon XP 64 3000+ oc. to 2 GHz, 2 Gt DDR 433MHz, Ati Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB...)

The demo has no worth for me and it kinda killed my enthusiasm for the game. If I should again renew my rig, then I'll be playing BF2 and mods. Just hope that ET QW doesn't need so much hardware torque as ARMA and as I presume Crysis will need.

Game itself seemed nice and I have discussed with Garabaldi about it (he has the game). According him it's really nice. Garabaldi said that full version runs much smoother than demo. Sure hope so, but I'll be waiting for final release and then I'll wait for some comments how it's performing in setup like mine before I buy it.

my pc plays it ok. try not to over do it with the graphics settings, start off with something low, play for abit and then increase them if you can.
ive got a 7800gt btw and i think your card is a little faster ?

graphics..i play bf2 on low..once im older and free my pc is gonan be up 2 date 24/7

Yes that's what I've been heard. It depends highly on the PC setup. Some fellows says that it runs perfectly even with much slower setups, others say that even with 8800GTX it won't run it with decent graphics. Well at least I know that the demo doesn't run as it should. I've got 19" LCD so I must use 1280x1024 resolution to make it look good. But even when I dropped the resolution to 800x600 with everything low, I got maybe 20-25 FPS :cry:

I had the same card you have just few weeks ago, and yes my new one is a bit faster but in BF2 I can't notice the difference. I managed to switch my old 7800GT to this X1950Pro with 30€. Not too big boost but something:)

Both are good cards by my experience.

AA looks awesome and i hope they stick it to EA becuase the ranking system suks

But...

it should be more fun a little and easier to interface as no one wants a 4 yr online war:p IMO

fine balance between fun and serious without the bull

also easier for mods and community without ranks

i was going to, but their idea of a reality game is not mine. ARMA is far more fun than bf2 or any of its mods will ever be. the only good thing about bf2 is being able to fly planes and bomb everyone

as much as i can complain about bf2 you have to admit it is a awesome game compaired to its CURRENT rivals we will see in a few months wont we and i dont like the CS cheat feel bf2 has thats all

bf2 COULD be an awesome game, it has massive potential. its just that its 50% complete, to much stuff is missing and what is there is badly adjusted. and when you have Dice listen to the idiotic suggestions made by some whiney plebs, it further ruins the game instead of adding more content and bug fixing.

indeed it has, which is why i only join 64player servers that are pretty much full, because then i have lots of people to shoot at. you dont get that many people with mods and custom maps playing. and the players that really care about points and stuff wont go on them either.

i just wanted to say that a multiplayer demo for this has been released.

try www.gamershell.com theyre pretty fast for demo downloads.
