installed 1.41 and when i want to connect to server it sais "u have older version than a server", but i installed patch normally..........

my prob. is that i cant join EF servers, it says that i have modyfies the content, but BF2 and SF works fine ??? go figurer.

The probs i have with this patch is lag, and lots of it! yet my ping stays in the 30's!!!

My problem is constant LAN disconnects. I can't stay connected to my Local Area Server anymore. Ive even downloaded and installed the seperate stand alone 1.41 server. Even tried installing it and hosting it from my laptop and connecting to that and I still get LAN disconnects. Ive also reinstalled BF2 from scratch. Still nothing.

Cheers but VOIP is always disabled since we use Teamspeak. Though neither has been used during my experiments since 1.41.

I suppose I should mention Ive also upgraded recently to:
Abit KN8 SLI motherboard
Athlon 64 x2 4800+ 2.41GHz
Geforce 7950 GX2 1GB
2GB Corsair DDR400

Just incase it was the new ethernet LAN socket I also tried my portable USB Ethernet adaptor and it still didn't work.

No other games have this problem either. It had some disconnects during 1.4 too but not this bad. I might try going back to 1.4 and see what happens.

I had this kind of problem in the lower versions in my good computer, but in 1.41, it's gone. WTF?

Ok sorry change of mind... I've remembered this LAN disconnect issue got this bad just after I upgraded my PC and whilst I was still on 1.4. I just hadn't played it since because I was busy with new games. I went back to BF2 LAN and had the too regular disconnects and got 1.41 and I'm still having them.

But how can an upgrade make BF2 do this and no other games are affected?

Can mods affect this even though they have their own seperate folder and it worked fine on an older system?

Even when I host a sober game of BF2 it happens. I'll try it after removing the mod tomorrow.

I still haven't updated.... I don't play on regular servers.... Just play PoE2, no problems here.

I am using an onboard network adaptor but I also tried using a USB external Network card like I said. I've always used an onboard network adaptor even with my older PC guts when it used to stay connected for longer.

I've just deleted the mod and it's made no difference. I still get kicked from a sober LAN game of BF2.

I used to get disconnects before I upgraded but not this often. Could it be that a system that is twice as fast will find errors twice as fast thus disconnect sooner?

And disconnects from other interenet servers are definately a lot less common but they are still happening either way. I've just tested this.
