    Special Forces Weapons In V1.0

This will show you how to put weapons in Battlefield 2 V1.0 for people who use V1.0 for the unlocks feature for singleplayer.

You must have a copy of V1.0 on Desktop, and V1.1 or higher in the Program Files.

I'm gonna show you how to put one weapon in V1.0 so you will have a general idea how to do the rest of the weapons. This will be the sasrif_g36k from Special Forces. Now most of the weapons from Special Forces is already in the BF2 folder so look in there for the other weapons. Now your ready to place files from V1.1 to V1.0.

First open the V1.1 xpack/object_server/weapons/handheld/(sasrif_g36k) and copy this folder into the V1.0 BF2/object_server/weapons/handheld folder. Do the same thing in the object_client/weapons/handheld folder. This is all in the object(zipped)folders, but there are more for other weapons like the insgr_rpg, crossbow, grapplinghook, but i just could not get these weapons to work. If you do please Reply.

Secondly, open the xpack/menu_client/HUD/texture/ingame/weapons/icons/HUD/ and copy the sasrif_g36k.tga and sasrif_g36k_mini.tga into the same folder of V1.0. Go back to the same folder and open the (Selection) folder and copy the sasrif_g36k.tga into the V1.0.

Thirdly, open the V1.0 BF2/menu_server/Atlas folder. In this folder you will see MemeAtlas.tac and MemeAtlas.tai files. (Use Notepad to edit) I've searched the xpack1Atlas.tai and found these lines for each of the tga files you copied out of the menu_client, for the Special Forces weapons in the BF2 folder (search the BF2 MemeAtlas.tai in V1.1):
Place these lines in the MemeAtlas.tai(I ordered them with the other weapons alike):

    menu/HUD/Texture/Ingame/Weapons/Icons/HUD/sasrif_g36k.tga Menu/Atlas/Xpack1Atlas0.dds, 0, 0.547852, 0.344727, 0.146484, 0.0429688
    menu/HUD/Texture/Ingame/Weapons/Icons/HUD/sasrif_g36k_mini.tga Menu/Atlas/Xpack1Atlas0.dds, 0, 0.65918, 0.484375, 0.0566406, 0.0166016
    menu/HUD/Texture/Ingame/Weapons/Icons/HUD/Selection/sasrif_g36k.tga Menu/Atlas/Xpack1Atlas0.dds, 0, 0.438477, 0.443359, 0.136719, 0.0390625

If you look at the lines correctly you will see that these files use the Xpack1Atlas0.dds which can be found in the V1.1 xpack/menu_client/Atlas folder. Copy this file into the V1.0 BF2/menu_client/Atlas folder with the other files. (Don't worry it works) And for the Special Forces weapons or any other weapon in the BF2 folder you will need to replace the V1.0 MemeAtlas.010.dds or the MemeAtlas.020.dds with the V1.1 files if the lines in the MemeAtlas.tai utilizes these files. (Or the game will crash) if you are using these weapons in the kits.

Now in the MemeAtlas.tac file of V1.0 add these lines(under the wasp_defence_crosshair2.dds border(which is about 6 or 7 lines down if notepad is maximized)):
    Menu\HUD\Texture\Ingame\Weapons\Icons\Hud\sasrif_g 36k.tga
    Menu\HUD\Texture\Ingame\Weapons\Icons\Hud\sasrif_g 36k_mini.tga
    Menu\HUD\Texture\Ingame\Weapons\Icons\Hud\Selectio n\sasrif_g36k.tga

Now put these weapons into a kit and start killing gooks.

    P.S.
I found that in V1.1 the Selection folder in BF2 Menu_Client doesnt have the tga files for the weapons so get them out of the Selection folder of the xpack, this will enable you to switch to knife/pistol/grenades etc. without the game crashing.

I hope you all understand my grammer. Its been a decade since explaining things on paper or computer. ENJOY!!!

Re: Special Forces Weapons In V1.0

I was able to copy the RPG, crossbow, and grapple into my personal mod.
For the crossbow/zipline and grappling hook you need to copy anything referring to zipline, crossbow_bolt, zip_handle, zip, rope (and maybe cable), or CanFire/CannotFire:
    menu_client.zip\HUD\Texture\Ingame\Weapons\Icons\H UD\SpecialKitIcons\
    Menu_client.zip\HUD\Texture\Ingame\Weapons\Icons\H UD\Crosshair\
    Menu_server.zip\HUD\HudSetup\GUIIndex.txt (has two added lines)
    Menu_server.zip\HUD\HudSetup\Weapons\HudElementsCa nFire.con
    Menu_server.zip\HUD\HudSetup\Weapons\HudElementsCa nnotFire.con
    Objects_server.zip\effects\weapons\tracers\p_trace r_zipline\
    Objects_server.zip\common\crossbow_bolt\
    Objects_server.zip\common\DummyObjectsXpack.con
    Objects_server.zip\StaticObjects\xpak_objects\comm on\
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\common\projectiles\cros sbow_bolt\
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\common\projectiles\zipl ineshell\
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\Handheld\nsrif_crossbow \
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\Handheld\nsrif_grapplin ghook\
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\Handheld\xp1_zip_handle \
    Objects_client.zip\common\crossbow_bolt\
    Objects_client.zip\effects\weapons\tracers\p_trace r_zipline\
    Objects_client.zip\StaticObjects\Common\textures\ (grapplinghook and zip_handle files)
    Objects_client.zip\StaticObjects\xpak_objects\comm on\

In addition to the weapon itself, RPG requires:
    Objects_server.zip\Weapons\common\projectiles\rpg_ rocket\

I haven't quite got the mod working yet. I added the benelli_m4 from patch 1.20+ and made it a level 2 unlock for USA engineer. The level loads but when I click 'start' (in windowed mode) I get the error that it can't find
    menu/HUD/texture/ingame/weapons/icons/HUD/gbrif_benelli_m4_mini
even though that .tga file is in that folder in menu_client.zip. I think this is the same problem I ran into when I was trying this before.
