2 GB Memory
Nvidia GeForce 7500LE -or- Nvidia 7600 GT
also posibility of ATI Radeon x1300 pro

which video card would be the best choice, or are they all crap?

Unless you're getting a smashing deal on your memory, you'd be better served with one gig and the better video card, and then upgrading to 2 gigs later.
