SERIOUS Lag Issues

Ever since 1.41 was released, I have been having SERIOUS lag issues...like my ping has ALWAYS been 35 - 100, now I join some servers and my ping is 140 - 260, I am a little startled, anyone have any idea what has happened? Only thing that I have been using is the code that fixes your lag so all your shots will hit, I don't think this is it though.

P.S. I have already searched and found nothing, and if you have something negative to say, then don't say it.

Trooper, I know what you mean, I started a thread about it also. I found some lag in the 1.41 on servers that I never lagged. I get 15-20 pings on these very servers, but I get the strangest lag spots.

Everyone in my squad that I could communicate with over VOIP saw it too. Just recently, I bumped up my Detonator driver, and I don't think that is it.

What is this "code" that you speak of?

I think he must be talking about the interpolation/extrapolation tweaks that are around (and dont ask me what they are, search for it). To the OP I suggest going back to the default user settings to rule it out.

This lag fest happened the day 1.41 was released, but I was still on 1.4 when this lag happened, and yes, I am using the...

SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation

I adjust it to my ping every time I join a server..my ping gets lower when I join the servers that I always go into, by skyrockets on a foreign server, guess I'll stick with the normal 1's.

Here is the solution, don't install 1.41!

1.4 still has plenty of servers.. lets unofficially keep it the official version..

Up ! I'm getting the same problem. Obs: I live in Brazil o.O

So, I guess it could be something about the routes through to server, but I can barely do a tracert ¬¬

I tried reinstalling bf,repower my modem. I don't know what to do.

And this problem occurs both in BF2 and 2142
