Have the same probs. I have just got a new HDD. So I installed BF2 from scratch. Then went straight to the 1.41 patch. Worked for a while. But then the servers all vanished one day.

Now the odd thing is. My game now tells me that I am running version 1.1.2963-795.0

Give it some time dude. 4000+ servers can't upgrade to 1.41 in just like 5 secs.

Do something else than playing BF2 then "all" servers here are patched afaik, with 1.41.

I finally managed to get the patch installed. It reports the same version you have listed. ??

I am now getting graphical glitches and, so far, one CTD. Patch day is not a happy day for me.
