BF2 has been running fine until today on my new card .

I get it too, seems to flicker in time to someone shooting their gun?

It's when your card is overheating.

It's called artifacting. It usually happens with imporper colling of your GPU or when you Overclock it and it isn't meant to handle the supplied power.

Great , i have just installed a 8800GTX , probaly why . Will it stop when it cools down ? Any ideas to remedy it ?

Yes, that is an example of artifacts. It may be an indication that your video card may be overheating or your drivers may have some corruption.

All of these guys are wrong. I can tell you exactly what that is. Did you rename your .exe? If so rename it back to bf2.exe. If you didn't rename your .exe then your file is corrupt. Get the .exe from a friend, it's only 7.7mb.

I have the latest 97.02 from Nvidia . When you say i rename me .exe do you mean the Target box on my desktop to read

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +restart +szx 1920 +szy 1200

So i can run in widescreen . I have not renamed anything else expect Salds localistaion files ?

It's a secret event. A player can activate the event and create an alien invasion. The black holes you see are openings into hell.

Yes. If you jump into the black holes to hell, you will fall for five minutes and a Battlefield 2142 advertisement will pop-up that when you click it, it will go to EA's store.

Actually, I have something similar happen all the time on Sharqi. I mean, I can walk right behind the Construction building heading to the Hotel, and I get this giant black spot that shows up. It is like there is a hole in the space-time continuum. I need to take some screen shots because it happens the same place on different days. I don't think my GPU is over heating either. It runs a consistent 55 degrees and is a 7900GT. It seems to have shown up after 1.3 came out.

Get the .exe from someone else and replace yours. Trust me.

BAh, I have been thinking about reinstalling BF anyways.
