Earning SF unlocks

hello...

i just bought SF today and wondered how im suppose to get the unlocks...

do i have to actually play an SF map or can i just rank up in vanilla BF2 and get the unlock?

i r confuseded (like always)

play 1 round, then u get ya unlocks, 2 per rank up( 1 for norm bf2 and for sf, u have to unlock the 1st to get the 2nd)

Yes just buy sf it has great maps and is cheap

for some reason i cant connect to a game...

i get this error that says something like "this server only allows users with unmodified content. please update your battlefield to the retail patch"

i can play regular battlefield just fine...do i have to update my BF2 to 1.41 from 1.4 to play SF or am i doin something wrong

Repatch the game after you install an expansion.

In fact, I would suggest you do the following to ensure that there are no problems:

#1. Download the full 1.41 patch. NOT the incremental one.

#2. Uninstall BF2 from your computer.

#3. Install BF2.

#4. Install SF + whatever other expansions/mods you have.

#5. Patch the game with the full 1.41 patch.

#6. Enjoy the game.

Thats for future reference so I don't have to edit my post two weeks from now when they release the incremental patch.
