    Annoying aspects of the game

Let me say first these are not bugs, but developers' poorly made design decisions.
I can live with it, but I’m surely annoyed when it happens during the game and I’d like some other way of handling these aspects.
    1. When someone dies, the kit is dropped on his corpse.
It’s a very good idea; you can grab the kit if you want.
The problem is identifying the kit. This is sometimes hard to do, because the corpse is blocking the view. So if you have to find a medic kit, for instance, to resurrect your dead comrades, you need a lot of luck to find the right kit in time.
Why can’t they make the kit drop near the corpse?!
    2. Spotting distant targets.
This is something that could be considered a bug. You look at enemy tanks or soldiers, you spot them, but it puts a question mark on the map. Why can’t you spot them, if you clearly see the enemy?!
    3. AT rocket is shot from the waist area of the body model.
This is a simplified combat model. The problem is when you try to hit targets below you (when you are on some roof and shoot down at tanks, for instance). You clearly see the target, you carefully aim at it, and then your rocket hits the edge in front of you. It’s always annoying!
    4. Filters you check in the servers’ browser are not exclusive.
Let’s say you want to play on IO servers: you check IO and choose a server from the list. No problem.
But what should you do if you want a normal server? Deselecting IO filter check is not a guarantee you’ll select a vehicles’ server, because of the filters weird way of functioning.
I’m sure there are more annoying aspects. Not exactly bugs, but still we’ll be better off without it.
    Feel free to add yours.

Re: Annoying aspects of the game

In regard to your first point, I totally agree with you. If you've played 2142, you may have noticed the kit bag now has the kit icon on the top of the bag, instead of the side of the bag, as in BF2. This helps a little, but like you say, you still can't tell what kit it is until the corpse disappears (but of course, you've swapped kits before that because you're probably trying find a medic kit to revive the guy!). I don't think they can put thekit bag further away, as it was the cause of the "zombie" problem, I think.

1, Why not just pick up the kit to see what it is lucky dip style, if its not a medic kit switch back to your own.

2, i find that bug more irritating when it happens to the commander.

3, crouch on the edge and fire.

4, never had a problem with the ingame browser, if i remember a good server from the night before i just type in the name,

      -

5, Supply/Vehicle drops sometimes drop miles away from your location even tho the beacon is above your head, could just be a lazy commander but it happens the odd time

Hmm, listen to what you’ve just said… are we playing a game of cards or a modern combat game?! We are talking about teamwork, being experts in using weapons and vehicles, but we can’t choose the kit we want to pick?!

It’s irritating to everybody, that’s for sure.

Of course, you can compensate for this aberration, but why not make it right in the first place? Either lower the visor’s view or make the trajectory of the rocket match the current view.

If you don’t use filters, it’s understandable you are not annoyed by their behavior.

This has never happened to me. I suspect a commander’s fault.

really how hard is it just to pick up an unknown kit check it and switch if its not what you expected, having the kits drop elsewhere would increase the chances of producing Zombies,

plus it depends on how much you pay attention and your spacial awarness, if your in a group of people you should know who is which kit, by the type of weapon and by outfit,

Look, if it’s just one kit, you can do that.
If it’s not the medic kit, you couldn’t revive that guy anyway, so you switch back.
But if you just had a tough fight and you’re the only survivor in your squad, you want to revive as many as you can in that less than 15 seconds period. Having to try several kits until you find the right one is stupid imo.
After a fierce fight, can you say you still know who was a medic and where his corpse is?!
What I’ll want is kits to be easier to identify on the ground, that’s all. Kits don’t have to be dropped elsewhere, just make it easier to recognize it.

Why not be medic in the first place?

Kits are very easy to identify. Unless you're lazy.

Sometimes you need to be something else than a medic, like a SpecOps to blow up enemy assets or AT if your squad is threatened by armor.

You’re the first I hear saying it’s easy to identify dropped kits. How do you do it, if I may ask, before picking up?

Read the side of the kit, it will have a symbol of what it contains. Duh.

And I imagine I would be the first since most BF2 players don't whine about this pety crap, they pickup the kit either looking thru them or they identify it by reading the side. It's that simple.

didnt read ur whole post but from other replis it seems like you have problems identifying kits, well I have them too but only if theres a guy on top of a kit which usually prevents me from seeing the icon on the side

for those of you who dont know the icons here they are

                    spec op:

                    engineer:

                    medic:

                    sniper:

                    anti-tank:

                    support:

                    assault:

It’s not always possible to read the side, because the dead body is blocking your view. Duh.
                      Never happened to you?

This is exactly what I am trying to say here.
                      And another annoying aspect:
                      5. Sometimes I can’t spawn on my squad leader, even if he’s 'green' on the map.
It’s more like a bug to me and always is making me angry not being able to jump in the right spot where the fighting is going.

Nothign better then repeatedly tryign to spawn on your squad leader...then he is dead and it eliminates that option...

The most annoying aspect of the game will always be the people who play it.
